Dreams is a 1989 four-disc box set issued by the Allman Brothers Band. Dreams is a compilation of material taken from not only the Allman Brothers Band, but also from throughout musical careers of the Allmans and the band's other members prior to and following its formation. The set was compiled by Bill Levenson (who had put together the Eric Clapton box set Crossroads the year before) and released to coincide with the band's 1989 reformation.

Its success has a lot to do with its status as Polygram/Bill Levinson's sequel to the acclaimed hit Crossroads, which summarized Eric Clapton's winding career perfectly.

Dreams" was used as the title of The Allman Brothers 1989 5-album boxed set. An unreleased studio version of this song was used on it. Molly Hatchet released a version of this in 1978. More songs from The Allman Brothers Band. This song is Greg Allman's masterpiece. Buddy Miles saw some potential here and made it his own. When Molly Hatchet did their remake, I believe theirs is way closer to Buddy Miles' version than ABB's, but with more power and Danny Joe Brown's voice behind it truly blew this song into the stratosphere.
Album: Dreams, 1989 Jessica was first released on the band's 1973 album Brothers and Sisters, and has subsequently been used in many musical contexts. The piece, along with "Ramblin' Man", is one of the two tracks from the album which marked the beginning of a new era for the Allman Brothers Band following the deaths of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley. The song is named for Jessica Betts, the daughter of Dickey Betts and Sandy Bluesky. from the album Brothers and Sisters.
