The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards, songwriting), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums).

Disc one is comprised of five cuts from The Allman Brothers Band, three from Idlewild South, two from At Fillmore East (the 13-plus minute "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed " and "Statesboro Blues"), and a whopping six cuts from Eat a Peach. Disc two begins with a handful from Brothers and Sisters, a pair each from Win, Lose or Draw and Enlightened Rogues, and Dickey Betts' brilliant "Hell & High Water" from Reach for the Sky, issued in 1980

The Allman Brothers Band (album). The Allman Brothers Band is the debut studio album by American rock band the Allman Brothers Band. It was released in the United States by Atco Records and Capricorn Records on November 4, 1969 and produced by Adrian Barber. Formed in 1969, the Allman Brothers Band came together following various musical pursuits by each individual member

I CAN say that the whole album is excellent music, with the cuts arranged in a sequence that gives a smooth transitional flow to the whole album. There is not a single weak tune in the lot, either. Excellent musicianship and vocals. Again, I am not an expert, but the audio is clean, crisp and full where I would expect it to be. All in all, an excellent album, great blues, well worth playing over and over
