Various artists (label samplers). Various Genres, Various. This sampler disc features 66 minutes worth of progressive rock from albums that were more or less new in 2012. BIG BIG TRAIN's 'The First Rebreather' (from English Electric Pt. One) is a good example of the band's symphonic style, featuring very nice keyboard parts. NEAL MORSE is represented by Momentum's title track, an energetic and fast-paced prog-rocker. The GoD release represented here with a frenzy 12-minute instrumental is a live album "Essen 1970". YGGDRASIL was a more song-oriented sextet that released their sole LP in 1972, though only as a metal-acetate.
