A set of songs written by jazz musicians were arranged for this project by pianist Carlos Franzetti for piano, sax, bass, flute, clarinet, and a string quartet. The results are pleasing if not overly memorable.

Carlos Franzetti's ensemble is basically a drummerless trio (saxophone, piano, bass) with the added colours of a string quartet and a flute and clarinet, which are mainly used as background textures. I liked those moments best when the trio was playing alone

Carlos Alberto Franzetti (born June 3, 1948) is a composer and arranger from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Franzetti started studying music at the National Conservatory in Buenos Aires at the age of 6 and later began taking private piano lessons. He began studying music composition after moving to Mexico in 1970. in 1974, graduating from Juilliard School, where he continued his composition studies with Vincent La Selva.
