Carlos Vargas-Ortiz is a Honduran musician, arranger and music educator. He grew up in the lower-class Tegucigalpa suburb of Flor del Campo. Carlos moved to Cincinnati in the spring of 2007 to pursue a music career. He was awarded a scholarship at the Cincinnati of Music where he earned two bachelor degrees in Jazz Guitar and Music Education. As an active guitarist and singer in the Cincinnati music scene, Carlos performs and record with Ben Alexander, Ric Hordinski, Flawless Band, Tajci, Marvin Hawkins, with his trio and many other artist in the Tri State area.

Short Bio: Involved with House Music since 2001, Carlos Vargas is currently Portugal’s main reference for Soulful House music. Having his music supported by Artists like Tony Humphries, Dj Spen, Grant Nelson, Jask, Mr. V, Ralf Gum, Quentin Harris, Dj Meme, Groove Junkies or Alfred Azzetto, Carlos has seen his International Career growing quickly in the last couple of years. Vargas Live Sets can be described as sexy and groovy, with a broad blend mix of styles that goes from Deep & Soulful to Club House, supported under Soul, Disco, Jazz & Funk influences.
