Interpol is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Interpol, released on September 7, 2010 on Matador Records. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village.

Interpol's first release for the label was the self-titled Interpol EP in June 2002. The EP was considered a success by music critics, and aided in shedding the band's frequent comparisons to British post-punk group Joy Division. Two of the three tracks on the EP featured on the band's debut studio album, Turn on the Bright Lights, released in 2002. The album debuted at number fifteen in the US, and in the top ten on the Irish Albums Chart. The album's second single "Evil" peaked at number eighteen in the UK Singles Chart, the band's highest charting single in the country. Antics was certified Gold in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.

Interpol is the alternative/indie rock band’s 4th studio album. It is a self-produced album which was released on September 7th, 2010 on Matador Records. The first single, Barricade, was released on August 3rd, 2010, followed by Summer Well on December 6th, 2010; Lights on February 8th, 2011, and lastly Try It On on April 16th, 2011. This is the final album that features bassist, Carlos Dengler. I think we decided to name the record Interpol before he left the band, although he left the band before the record was done. He had done his parts and then he left the band.

they’re not just a cultural timepiece for music historians to study. The result is Marauder: an album that sways as well as it seduces, that pounds as well as it pouts, and that batters as well as it broods.
