We let Glyn Johns remix it, we didn't want to know. Many fans are also aware that an earlier album titled Get Back was compiled from the sessions by engineer/producer Glyn Johns and was scheduled for release at various times throughout 1969 and early 1970. Apparently, Glyn made at least four different variants of his compilation. Three of these compilations were considered for release with each successive one superseding the previous. Glyn also produced a compilation which, at one point, was rumored to be considered as potentially part of a second album of jams and rock & roll oldies.

A different mix of the song later became the closing track of Let It Be (1970), which was the Beatles' last album released just after the group split. The single version was later issued on the compilation albums 1967–1970, 20 Greatest Hits, Past Masters, and 1.
Notes: Most Beatles fans are familiar with The Beatles' nearly disastrous "Get Back/Let It Be Sessions" in January 1969 that, ultimately, resulted in the Let It Be album and movie.
Sometime later the project was handed to Phil Spector who produced the final released version of the album which had now become 'Let It Be'. The album was nothing like as The Beatles had originally intended and was heavily over produced by Spector. By the time 'Let It Be' was released The Beatles were all but finished. The package included here is one of the finest bootlegs I have ever seen.
Whatever the true meaning, 'Get back' served as a neat summary of The Beatles' back-to-basics musical intentions, and the song became the title track of what they intended to be their next album. Although two different versions of the LP were compiled by producer/engineer Glyn Johns, the songs were eventually remixed by Phil Spector and released as Let It Be. Get Back was released as a UK single in April 1969 and the following month in the US, as the follow-up to Hey Jude. Paul McCartney wrote the following for the press advertisements: Get Back is The Beatles' new single.
Get Back Glyn Johns - CD back. The Eagles at Bernie Leadon's house circa 1970. I just discovered this photo and I really like it," says Russell. I was in America with Glyn Johns and the Eagles, who had just formed at the time and were after Glyn to produce their first album. I remember going to soundcheck with him before one of their shows. They played and I thought they were spectacular.
It would later become the closing track of The Beatles' last album to be released before they split, Let It Be (1970). However, it was not placed there in retrospect; Let It Be was recorded before Abbey Road, Get Back therefore being recorded in the Let It Be sessions.
