So this was also available as a set that included all five colour varieties as well as a shirt. Serious question: is everyone who bought that 'set' genuinely happy now that they own the SAME two tracks on no less than FIVE (!) records that are solely distinguishable by the fact that each one is pressed on a differently coloured piece of wax? Realistically speaking, who the hell needs five copies of the same record anyway?Gotta admit that I thought that whole 'set' was stupid, pointless and a disappointing cash grab considering the fact that it retailed at a whopping EUR 75 excluding shipping, but I guess the real joke is on those buyers anxious to immediately hit the checkout button due to fear of missing out. Industrial / noise 'gotta catch 'em all' consumerist bullshit at its absolute worst. With 1250 copies pressed - which is a significantly larger amount than is usually the case for GO - I'd say it's safe to assume there's not gonna be a shortage of them on the second hand market.

En fait, dans mon cas, ce n'est pas par manque d'intérêt de compléter ma collection que je ne mets pas la main sur tous ces albums, c'est simplement parce que je trouve l'argent trop durement gagné pour l'utiliser de cette façon

Serious answer: Yes! I was really happy to get 5 records in 5 colours with 5 times the same 2 songs together with a T-Shirt 2 small for my extensive body. And yes you´re right - it is stupid! But record collecting in itself doesn´t seem too reasonable … it is love for music coupled with pure greed (I´ve got something, that you don´t have or at best, that you want!). Or a way of trying to be unique / special / individual by the choice of goods we own. And to show even more stupidity: I haven´t played any of the records I bought in the last 5 years … at the moment even my record-player isn´t working … but I like to show my appreciation for some musicians by buying their records, either as a kind of souvenir/memory bought at great concert or because they are fixed stars in my musical universe … It doesn´t make the world a better place, but at least my apartment. So no harm done and remember: the choice is yours!

Some metal LP's were released on 10 or more different colours of vinyl. And there are people who buy them ALL. Moreover, sometimes they even don't have a turntable. They just think that keep in collection their favourite records in all possible formats is cool. Well, this is their own business... and where is supply, there will be demand.
