The cover of this album gives you an idea as to the extent that the psychedelic atmosphere had permeated popular society. Everything got the psychedelic treatment, no matter how far removed the item itself may have been from it. In many cases this was a blatant attempt to exploit that culture for financial gain. In others, it was an absent minded stab at trying to be hip like everyone else. I'm not sure which of those reasons resulted in this cover - perhaps it was a blend of both.
