Mirrors is the sixth studio album by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released on June 19, 1979. It was the first BÖC album not produced by long-time producer and manager Sandy Pearlman, instead being produced by Tom Werman. Live 1976 starts out as a "had to be there" kind of thing, but this is Blue Öyster Cult at the peak of their powers and popularity, and soon becomes a barnburner. At first glance, the song list could dig a bit deeper, but this DVD still gives a great sampling of the first four cult classics. Like most '70s giants, BOC made their living on the road, as demonstrated by the tightness and facility with which they kick out the jams. Plus, "Buck's Boogie" shoots out a typically excessive axe showoff, replete with Al Bouchard's legendary laser drum solo.

Blue Oyster Cult was for the most part a touring band, and this European import, released 15 years after the concert it chronicled, shows them at their 1970s touring peak.
