War at the Warfield is a concert video by Slayer which was released on July 29, 2003, through American Recordings. Recorded at Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, California, on December 7, 2001, it is the band's second video album. The DVD's contents were announced by MTV on July 25, 2003. It is the last release by Slayer with drummer Paul Bostaph (before he came back in 2013), who left due to a chronic elbow injury. Recording and release. The video was recorded at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on December 7, 2001. War at the Warfield was Slayer's second DVD. Originally set for release on February 11, 2003, and later February 13, 2003, it was delayed several times, due to unspecified "production issues". However, on May 20, 2003, it was announced that the release would be on June 17, 2003, only to be pushed back once again to July 27. Before the DVD's release, Tom Araya.
War Ensamble: If youve heard this song, it sounds almost exactly the same, except Araya's vocals have gotten deeper. Overall a great song, nice and fast. I think this song is about war as a game. Before the solo he screams WAR!! and it still sounds great. Solos ok, but not the best. Stain of Mind: Starts off with a nice intro. Not as fast as other, but great to headbang to. The singing is great, i love it. King puts in a nice slow solo. at the end of his solo he bends the strings insanely, making it really high pitched. Starts off really fast, then the drums triplet the toms. After a while of that, they come in with a really cool intro line. The video was recorded at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on December 7, 2001, exactly 60 years after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor,) War at the Warfield was Slayer's second DVD.
Looking back on War at the Warfield, I can’t say the same thing now as when I first viewed the DVD. While I am still a huge Slayer fan, I’ve come to realize their DVDs are not exactly great. In fact, they’re far from it. The one thing that stands out to me about War at the Warfield is the fan section. Holy shit it’s hilarious. I happen to quite enjoy Diabolus in Musica and Stain of Mind is one of my favourite songs from that album, so seeing it on the setlist is a plus. It would have been nicer if they included more from Show No Mercy, but they don’t play a lot of songs from that album, even nowadays. Die by the Sword is a sweet song, but Black Magic would have been better. All the must haves are there as usual, such as Mandatory Suicide, Seasons in the Abyss, Captor of Sin, et. and of course they finish with Angel of Death.

Released: Jul 29, 2003 Release type: Album Still, it's a safe bet that none of the thousands who crammed into San Francisco's Warfield Theater in December 2001 to scream, thrash, mosh, and headbang for this 90-minute show went home unhappy. 3 10 1 War At The Warfield. War At The Warfield IronDeathKiss The most impressive thing to me is the track list, absolutely amazing.
