Puerto Rican crew from New York, formed by Prince Powerule, Eric Vill, and DJ Ax-Mil. In 1990 they made some noise with the single Brick In The Wall off of their virtually unnoticed album Volume 1″, which gave voice for the first time to the largely unheard Latino community of New York. Most of the album was produced by Powerule themselves, where they kicked rhymes with their friends Leaders Of The New School, Kurious George, and Large Professor.

Another exceedingly strong album from the copious early-'90s hip-hop scene that dropped away virtually unnoticed, Powerule's Volume One gave voice to the largely unheard Latino quotient of the late-night, underground New York City community that had always been nearly as essential to the rap world as the African-American community but, up to that point, had rarely made. it out of the recording studio. In 1991 they released their debut album Volume 1 on Interscope Records that featured Leaders of The New School, Large Professor & Kurious Jorge. Powerule along with 2Pac were one of the first Hip Hop artists signed to Interscope Records. Powerule went on to pave the way for artist like Fat Joe, Kurious, Big Pun, Tony Touch, The Beatnuts and others. It's been 26 years since Powerule released a physical album. This is unprecedented in the industry and happens to be their best work to date. The music and the lyricism proves that the Golden Era of Hip Hop still is relevant. A virtual who's who of producers provide the back bone for the album. Large Professor provides a hypnotic melody on Glorify and Praise and Prince Powerule delivers an adult contemporary message. When asked how it was working with Large Professor again after 26 years Prince said "I've never been pushed so hard in the booth.

Volume 1 is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band CKY. Recorded at The Ground Hog Studios in Holland, Pennsylvania, it was produced, engineered and mixed by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg, and originally released on February 27, 1999 by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International. Since its initial release under the title Camp Kill Yourself, the album has been reissued a number of times by various record labels with different titles and album covers.
