Albert Marcœur (born 12 December 1947) is a French composer, singer and songwriter. He began his career in the early 1970s. His body of work mixes melodic, rhythmic and sonic experimentations with fancy nursery rhymes, humorous and offbeat lyrics Albert Marcœur. 2008: Travaux pratiques. 2017: Si Oui, Oui. Sinon Non (with Le Quatuor Béla).

Marcœur studied clarinet at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Dijon Roger Desoomer. He actively participated in various local and school rock and roll bands. His first band The Jazz Babies had their first appearance in 1963. Here Marcœur gained extensive experience in multi-track recording method and in studio art. In 1974, he released his first solo album Albert Marcœur. His second album, album a colorier (1976 ) he published on the label Atlantic, WEA. As a symbolic figure of the avant-garde rock and iconoclast, he was always the " Frank Zappa France" called.
