Fantômas - Delìrivm Còrdia.
This is an unofficial music video for the "Delirium Cordia" record by Fantômas.
Delìrivm Còrdia is the third studio album by American experimental rock band Fantômas, released on January 27, 2004 by record label Ipecac. The music, which was composed solely by Patton, could be described as the score to a horror movie and/or concept album centering on the theme of surgery without anesthesia. The album consists of a single track that runs for 74 minutes and 17 seconds.
Fantômas – Delìrium Còrdia. Label: Ipecac Recordings – IPC45. Format: Vinyl, LP, Picture Disc Vinyl, LP, Single Sided, Picture Disc All Media, Album. Obviously there's still a bit of surface noise (MUCH less than most pic discs though), but even that is extremely hard to notice given that there's actually recorded noise that the producer put into the album's mix. Even if you hear this on CD or listen to the raw WAV file, that noise is still part of the album. Anyone on the fence, I can definitely recommend this to. Probably the ONLY picture disc worth having to actually listen to.
Aside from 20-minute stretch, though, Delìrium Còrdia holds up just fine as a suitably unwieldy, adventurous, patched-together series of instrumental bridges with no chorus to reach.
The album is comprised of but one track and will invariably work its most magic when you can afford to listen, uninterrupted, alone in a dark and stormy place (or as the background score for Silent Hill). It begins with a vinyl crackle and the soft ping of a distant music box. And suddenly- Patton coos and guitar and drums bash something awful!

What exactly is Delirium Cordia then" Well, for a start it's over 74 minutes long in spite of being one song. To put that in perspective, let's think of some of the longest songs that get played on the radio. Stairway To Heaven is just over 8 minutes long, meaning that this is 9 times the length of that. Immediately, any chance this song or album has of entering the popular consciousness gets blown away. It also means that it's very hard to listen to individual bits of the song.
