Surgical Sound Specimens From The Museum Of Skin (Delìrium Còrdia). Advertise on Metal Storm. Found in 4 lists Top lists. Goregrind bands wish they could so such a thing haha. A mostly ambient/drone-like album though. It definitely sticks out of Fantômas discography (that is exceptional in itself). - Written by BloodTears on 1. 8. 2011 at 18:29 Like you could kiss my ass. The third release by Fantômas, Delirium Cordia, turns a bit of a different direction from the band's previous releases. Delirium Cordia is one track clocking in at 74 minutes. The record is always haunting; giving one a sense of the grizzly images of the insert booklet - photos of surgeries in action. The music has film score qualities, a feeling of being lost in a hospital at night, a hospital much like that of Lars Von Trier's The Kingdom, while Hellraiser demons watch and wait from afar. Where Director's Cut was a variation of different '70s film themes, Delirium Cordia is a score to Patton's own horror-filled imagination.

Normally I'd knock this for being a picture disc, but it has the best sound I've heard on one. Obviously there's still a bit of surface noise (MUCH less than most pic discs though), but even that is extremely hard to notice given that there's actually recorded noise that the producer put into the album's mix. Even if you hear this on CD or listen to the raw WAV file, that noise is still part of the album. Anyone on the fence, I can definitely recommend this to. Probably the ONLY picture disc worth having to actually listen to.
