Jettisoning, for the most part, the covers that render some other Bollock Brothers albums tedious endurance tests, Prophecies of Nostradamus contains mostly original compositions. The first surprise is that rather than the sloppy punk rock the band is renowned for, the Bollocks now play a sleek, elegant, polished version of goth rock, sounding like a slightly scruffier Cure or Sisters of Mercy.
