Earlene Bentley is a Soul, Pop, Hi-NRG and Dance singer who is best known for such Hi-NRG hit songs as "Stop That Man", "Stargazing", "Caught In The Act", "I'm Living My Life" and "The Boys Come To Town. Bentley also sang on the "Ashes To Ashes" on the compilation, "Northern Soul 2007. In 1986, Earlene recorded HI-NRG chart hits "Don't Delay" & the No1 Eurobeat hit "I got you Covered" which came out in 1987.

It was recorded live on tour in 1975 and features "The Funkettes" - Lorraine Feather and Jana King. Early pressings of the album (including record-club pressings) simply state the band's name as "Grand Funk" on the front cover and spine, but have the full name on the record labels.

Earlene Bentley was one of the hi-nrg disco queens of the 1980's and countless other top rated divas of the time. CAUGHT IN THE ACT was a huge international club hit for Earlene, and producer Ian Levine. It hit the club charts worldwide and was released by the legendary RECORD SHACK label in 1984.
