The original Mike Nock LP was one of the last albums with the old style (1968-70/71) pink MPS label.
BASF distribution scheme with its own catalogue numbering was to take over right after when the labels were printed for this issue. It's common to have this LP with BASF CRM 722 sticker on front, even though the album is pink MPS .
This issue with red BASF/MPS label is a repress of the MPS 15261 ST, but has the identical Matrix/Runouts like MPS-issue.
The LP comes in a laminated gatefold cover.

The Mike Nock Underground. Select Format a corker of an album. the equal to a lot of other better known electric jazz experiments of the time. McClure plays electric bass and it's mixed to the foreground so it functions as much as a front line instrument. Nock sounds like he's having a lot of fun making his piano do a lot of things the old acoustic couldn't do. Good to see this one back in print. Between or Beyond from The Mike Nock Underground is a classic fusion of rock, funk and jazz that spins from soulful grooves all the way to the outer edge
