Miliki Sound is part of a series of Peter King reissues on Mr. Bongos Classic African Recordings series. The LP features fully reproduced original artwork. Upbeat and funky the album's six tracks feature plenty of impressive displays of King's saxophone skills, the instrument for which he was perhaps best known, alongside a talent for arrangement that plays.
Protection Each record is protected within its record sleeve by a white vellum anti-dust sleeve. Packaging All items are shipped brand-new and unopened in original packaging. Every record is shipped in original factory-applied shrink wrap and has never been touched by human hands.
Peter King Adeyoyin Osubu (born 1938), known as Peter King, is a Nigerian musician who played several instruments, but was best known as an alto saxophonist playing a combination of Afrobeat and jazz. Peter King is perhaps better known in Europe and America than in Nigeria for his "Miliki Sound" on the record A Soulful Peter King, where he played popular classics such as "Sincerely", "We Belong Together" and "Just Because".

Peter King Miliki Sound by Peter King. Record Collector is the world's leading authority on rare and collectable records. It’s mastermind, the t Peter King, arrived in London in 1961, at the tender age of 23, to study music at Trinity College, and, through the 60s and 70s, formed a number of different bands. 1975 found him tied in with the London-based Orbitone imprint, which issued mainly West Indian and African music. From there came Miliki Sound, which made little impact in Nigeria but found favour in London. Its small run of copies soon disappeared, making this a welcome replica CD and vinyl reissue from Mr Bongo.
