From the Witchwood is the fourth album by English band Strawbs. It was recorded at Air Studios, London during February and March 1971 and reached number 39 in the UK Album Charts. The album is the third and final album to include Rick Wakeman, including his appearance as a session musician on the 1970 album Dragonfly. All tracks written by Dave Cousins, except where noted.

From The Witchwood is the third studio album of The Strawbs, or their fourth album if we consider their debut live album Just A Collection Of Antiques And Curious, and was released in 1971. The line up on the album is Dave Cousins, Tony Hooper, Rick Wakeman, John Ford and Richard Hudson. From The Witchwood represents a landmark for the band.

The Strawbs shuffle off the ISB moniker and emerge on the next three songs - the impossibly pretty "Witchwood" and "Thirty Days" and the Fab-Four Acid-Folk of "Flight" - a song on which they sound like The Beatles in 1967 as they've just discovered Magic Mushrooms in a studio full of Acoustic Instruments. For me the preceding "Dragonfly" from 1970 is a better album – a genuine 5-star masterpiece that deserves rediscovery. But re-listening to 1971's "From The Witchwood" has made me love it again.
