Peter "Pete" Seeger (May 3, 1919 – January 27, 2014) was an American folk singer and social activist
Greatest Hits," as Seeger himself wryly wrote in his liner notes, is a misnomer considering that he never had hit singles or huge-selling albums as a solo artist, though actually "Little Boxes" (included here) made the lower reaches of the charts. In reality this 1967 compilation (since reissued on CD) collects the most popular tracks of his 1962-1966 output for Columbia, which was a pretty small slice of his prolific career.
Peter Seeger (May 3, 1919 – January 27, 2014) was an American folk singer and social activist. A fixture on nationwide radio in the 1940s, he also had a string of hit records during the early 1950s as a member of the Weavers, most notably their recording of Lead Belly's "Goodnight, Irene", which topped the charts for 13 weeks in 1950

Which Side Are You On, 02:45.
This civil rights anthem is eloquently sung by Seeger. Four songs were added to the original album, with two of the best addenda being "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy" and the redoubtable and enchanting "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore. Wonderful! If one like Seeger, this is a good compilation to refresh your memories of his work.
