See How We Are. This song is by X and appears on the album See How We Are (1987) and on the live album Unclogged (1996). There are men lost in jailCrowded fifty to a roomThere's too many rats in this cage of the worldAnd the women know their placeThey sit home and write lettersAnd when they visit once a yearWell they both just sit there and stareSee how we areGotta keep bars in between usSee how we areWe only sing about it once in every twenty yearsSee how we areOh see how we are.
It's crazy how productive some bands were in the &.The Cure and the Smiths shat out records annually with a pretty good batting average. Same goes for the . punks in X, who put out six albums in seven years, five of which are great. 1985's Ain't Love Grand!, however, is not great. The one good thing about Ain't Love Grand!, though, is that it was so terrible that it made the band's final album (before the numerous reunions, anyway), See How We Are, sound even better. I bought my X albums chronologically, so I can say I felt the same emotions as X's original fans in the & did. I was relieved to hear a return to the rockabilly sound. Granted, Ain't Love Grand! led to founding guitarist Billy Zoom's temporary departure, but his replacements, Dave Alvin and Tony Gilkyson, fill in admirably.
All musicians need to know how to release an album. This checklist will help you build your release, get music distribution, and sell your music online. We created the album release checklist to help you put the good vibrations back into releasing. Here’s everything you need to check off the list to release your next project with more yes! And less stress. 1. Figure Out Your Album Art. Album art is still important. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! I’ve already written about the importance of album art in today’s music landscape. The bottom line? Album art still plays an important visual role for your music. In fact, it’s often the only visual element you get to control on digital music stores that display everyone’s album in the same font.
