Messiah: Worthy Is My Lamb - Amen Chorus. What has not been said about this all time classic? No superlatives can truly capture the glory of conception and execution that Handel constructed. A work that is a staple of the standard repertoire and still performed in concert halls all over the world to this day. This leading version features the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Sir Malcolm Sargent at the baton. Written by Handel towards the end of his life, when, reduced to penury by jealous rivals at court, his creativity was reawakened by an unsolicited libretto. Initially performed in Dublin the response was tumultuous.
