Queensrÿche found a replacement for Gray in Mike Stone, who had previously worked on Tate's solo album. Stone accompanied the band on the Tribe tour as second guitarist to Wilton's lead, though he never was a full member of the band. The album kicks off leaving very little room to breathe, with the frantic one-two punch of Blood of the Levant and Man the Machine. The opening track, 'Get Started,' is actually quite efficient, if not quite as effective as some of the tracks mentioned above. It generally manages to integrate some amount of artificiality into the opening track's more fast-paced tendency, and tends towards a slightly defiant tone.
