Following Dew-Scented’s tradition of beginning each album with the letter I (‘Immortelle’, ‘Innoscent’, ‘Ill-Natured and so o., Incinerate is a strong release, worthy of the band’s logo on the front. Overall, the music seems to give a nod towards the traditional death metal sound emanating from Poland at the moment while paying tribute to the American originators of the same genre and adding their own trademark thrash metal riffs. Dew-Scented have shown once again that they are rather fond of progression and do not want their style to stagnate. Although this release is probably inferior to my older material such as the ‘Inwards’ opus, it is still worth checking out. Originally written for ww. ockbeast.

Track 20 originally appeared on the album Bad Religion - How Could Hell Be Any Worse?, 1982. Tracks 15 and 16 are taken from the Dew-Scented - Issue VI album sessions Recorded, mixed and mastered at Stage One Studio, Germany, 2005. Track 14 previously only released as bonus track in Japan. Track 18 is taken from the Dew-Scented - Inwards album sessions. Recorded and mixed at Stage One Studio, Germany, 2001. Mastered at TTM Mastering, Germany Previously only released as bonus track in Japan. Originally appeared on Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss album 1990.

Dew-Scented was a German thrash and death metal band. They have released eight studio albums and were last signed to Metal Blade Records (Europe) and Prosthetic Records (USA/North America). Their name is inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. Vocalist Leif Jensen entered the band in 1992, drummer Uwe Werning 1997 and guitarist Hendrik Bache in autumn 2001.
