The band formed after the demise of Joy Division, following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis; they were joined by Gillian Gilbert on keyboards later that year.

Vocals lack much of any life, wondering lost into the mix behind the layers of instrumentation. The record has scattered moments of excellence, but it's significantly outnumbered by moments that aren't particularly memorable.
