In Dream’ is an album created without preconception and at the centre is a belief in collaboration

It marks the band's collaboration with the Iranian born Dutch photographer, film and music video director Rahi Rezvani who also directed the video for 'Ocean of Night', released on 24 November.

Just gave the whole album a spin – I like their return to more synthies, but the second half of In Dream is just a bit boring and repetitive. So overall it’s great to hear them back from their excursion to stadium rock – in my opinion In Dream is way better than Weight of Your Love – and I love experiments, but maybe still some way to go to achieve a(nother) great albun.

It was recorded in Crear in the Western Highlands by the band, and mixed in London by Alan Moulder.

Album · 2015 · 10 Songs. Opener "No Harm" beautifully pairs a pulsating electronic heartbeat with Tom Smith’s falsetto, "Life Is A Fear" is supreme brooding indie and the haunting All the Kings best utilises their stately synths.

Here, we get the driving, angular guitars of 2005's The Back Room, next to the chilly synths of 2009's In This Light and on This Evening, all wrapped up in the expansive, church-studio production sound of 2013's The Weight of Your Love. As always, burning at the center of these icy, monochrome anthems is vocalist Tom Smith's closed-eyes, pyrrhic, baritone croon.
