I'm inspired by the sounds of the late 60's, especially Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles, and Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys. The work of Roxy Music and David Bowie in the 70's are important references for me. From the 80's, I feel a kinship with the witty and literate music from the artists on el Records. I have a deep love for the British shoegaze bands of the 90's, such as Cocteau Twins, Lush, My Bloody Valentine, and Slowdive.

Orange Caramel is the first full-length Japanese album by After School sub-unit Orange Caramel. It was released on March 13, 2013 by Avex Trax. The album was preceded by the singles "Yasashii Akuma" and "Lipstick/Lamu no Love Song". Yasashii Akuma" (やさしい悪魔), also known as "My Sweet Devil", was the first single released in Japan by the group. The song is a remake of 1970's pop group Candies' song "Yasashii Akuma". The B-side is a Japanese version of their Korean debut single, "Magic Girl".

Caramel is the second studio-album of New Zealand psychedelic pop musician Connan Mockasin, released in November 2013.
