Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin (/skriˈɑːbɪn/; Russian: Алекса́ндр Никола́евич Скря́бин ; 6 January 1872 – 27 April 1915) was a Russian composer and pianist. Scriabin, who was influenced early in his life by the works of Frédéric Chopin, composed works that are characterised by a highly tonal idiom (these works are associated with his "first stage" of compositional output).

Alban Maria Johannes Berg (/ˈɑːlbɑːn ˈbɛərɡ/; German: ; February 9, 1885 – December 24, 1935) was an Austrian composer of the Second Viennese School. His compositional style combined Romantic lyricism with twelve-tone technique. Berg was born in Vienna, the third of four children of Johanna and Konrad Berg. His family lived comfortably until the death of his father in 1900.
