Echo Hollow started in October 1996, following Lead Guitarist Gary Lenaire's departure from Tourniquet in August 1996. He hired Guy Ritter, the other founding member of Tourniquet who had left in 1993, as the band's Vocalist and the two hired on friends Matthew Fallentine and Matt Rosenblum on Bass and Drums respectively The four began to work on an album, which was titled Diet of Worms. However, the album was delayed several times, over the next three years. The album came out in 2004, Superficial Intelligence, which was once again released by Geneva Records. However, following the release of the album, the band went on a hiatus as of 2005. Lenaire, in an interview stated the following; "Echo Hollow was really an independent studio project. The band has released one mini-album and one self-released full-length album. First came "Diet Of Worms" in 1998. It was more technical, but less aggressive than any of Tourniquet's releases. Their last full-length release was 2004's "Superficial Intelligence". The band is no longer active and split-up sometime in the late 2000's.
