The Climax Blues Band (originally known as The Climax Chicago Blues Band) is a British blues rock band. The band was formed in Stafford, England, in 1967 by vocalist and harmonica player Colin Cooper (1939–2008), guitarist and vocalist Pete Haycock (1951–2013), guitarist Derek Holt (b. 1949), bassist and keyboardist Richard Jones (b. 1949), drummer George Newsome (b. 1947), and keyboardist Arthur Wood (1929–2005).

Formed in Stafford in 1968 by Colin Cooper, the band (originally known as the Climax Chicago Blues Band) released their sixth studio album with a lineup of Colin Cooper (vocals, saxophones, harmonica), Pete Haycock (guitar, vocals), Derek Holt (bass, guitar, vocals) and John Cuffley (drums). This release features seven bonus tracks, all previously unreleased on CD, including a rare BBC Radio One session from September 1974.

This two-fer from Fuel features a pair of LPs by the Climax Blues Band: Sense of Direction and Stamp Album, originally issued on Sire in 1974 and 1975. Released before their hit "Couldn't Get It Right" in 1976, these albums contain a mixture of light pop, electric blues, and boogie rock. Six alternate and extended tracks make this of interest to die-hard fans, while most casual listeners would be better served with a greatest-hits package.
