Eddie Murphy is the self-titled debut solo album by Eddie Murphy. It was released in late 1982, on Columbia Records. It was certified as a Gold record and received a Grammy award nomination. The album drew ire from the gay community, Asian-American groups and Women's groups for some of the humor. In terms of material, the release draws upon Murphy's work on the program Saturday Night Live.

Irish singer and songwriter Róisín Murphy has released four studio albums, one live album, five extended plays, 31 singles (including 10 as a featured artist) and 16 music videos. Murphy debuted in 1995 as lead singer of the electronic music duo Moloko. The duo achieved success in the United Kingdom, producing four top 20 singles. Moloko broke up in 2003 after Murphy had ended her relationship with musical partner Mark Brydon.

PIACQUADIO, influenced by none other than the legendary Todd Terry, brought the owner a two-hour house music mixtape, but he returned that same day with a two-hour freestyle mixtape after the owner told him that he did not like house music. He was so impressed that he hired PIACQUADIO on the spot. After years of deejaying, PIACQUADIO was finally able to afford his own, full studio setup in 1992. His initial production rig consisted of: an Akai MPC-3000, a Korg 909, an eight-channel Yamaha mixing board, and an assortment of effects processors. Completely self-taught in the studio, PIACQUADIO learned the basics of production and engineering by doing everything himself. To this day, he programs all of his own drums, plays all of the keyboards, and writes all of his own music for his productions.
