The alternative mix of Govinda is a bit of a red herring here as it's very similar to the album version which we have all heard plenty of times but once that is out of the way, we have Gokula which actually would have been great on K and is a bit like Smart Dogs (perhaps why it isn't on K). But then we have Dance in your Shadow, which is the first real treat here. This 1990s alternative rock album–related article is a stub.

The off-cuts from the debut album K make a surprisingly good release. While K is glorious, I feel that this EP showcases a more intimate and dark side of the band. It's easy to see why they never made it into the album: they are some far less commercial sounding tracks and would have sounded out of place. The alternative mix of Govinda is a bit of a red herring here as it's very similar to the album version which we have all heard plenty of times but once that is out of the way, we have Gokula which actually would have been great on K and is a bit like Smart Dogs (perhaps why it isn't on K).But then we have Dance in your Shadow, which is the first real treat here. It contrasts a melancholy and troubled sounding verse with a grand chorus with lots of rich instrumentation and a great vocal line. Raggy One (Waiting for Tomorrow) has a long instrumental introduction and a very psychedelic feel. Once the voals come in, the song goes on a journey which builds to a climax quite quickly before relaxing back into drawn out and blissful "Waiting for Tomorrow" section. This structure is similar to "Grateful When You're Dead/Jerry Was There" but on a smaller scale. Then the real fun begins. By far my favorite track of this CD and one of my favorite tracks of theirs overall, Moonshine is just pure delight (in my opinion at least). The track features some exemplary songwriting which results in one of the most haunting, mysterious, chilling and euphoric psychedelic listening experiences I have ever had. Once moonshine had drained all your sweat, Troubled mind comes after your precious tears as well. Another beautiful track finishes off the EP with another display of the characteristic Kula Shaker instrumental extravagance. Also, it's worth mentioning the flawless production quality of the music and how mush it shines on a good HiFi. Top quality! In summary, I bloody love this EP. Buy it!
