All lyrics from Sound of White Noise album, popular Anthrax songs with tracklist and information about album.

Sound of White Noise is the sixth studio album by American thrash metal band Anthrax, released in May 1993 on Elektra Records. It is the band's first album to feature vocalist John Bush, who replaced longtime Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna in 1992. It is also Anthrax's last studio album with longtime lead guitarist Dan Spitz. This was also the second album Bush worked with producer Dave Jerden, as he also produced Symbol of Salvation for Bush's previous band, Armored Saint.

Anthrax replaced longstanding vocalist Joey Belladonna with John Bush (of Armored Saint) and released the surprisingly melodic and predictably pummeling Sound of White Noise. Producer Dave Jerden, who had worked with Bush on the last Armored Saint disc as well as releases for Alice in Chains and Jane's Addiction, helped Anthrax channel its energy into the shape of the post-Seattle metal sound.

Anthrax's sixth album, Sound of White Noise, ends a period of consistent commercial success on a high note. The album marks a transition for the band in a couple of different ways. After frontman Joey Belladonna was acrimoniously dismissed from the band, Anthrax hired John Bush of Armored Saint to be their new frontman. This marked a transition of frontmen, and John would have the longest consectutive tenure with the group. He's a great fit right from the get go of this album, even if his voice is a bit lower key than Belladonna's.

This album was released in 1993 and was this first with singer John Bush and the last with lead guitarist Dan Spitz. After a string of classic thrash albums in the '80's and one in the early '90's, this album fully propelled Anthrax into the new decade. The addition of Armored Saint vocalist John Bush was the perfect addition to the band, who was looking to give a harder edge to their sound  . 1. Potter's Field The album starts off with about a minute of 'white noise' before exploding into this song. Hearing the intro riffs, you can picture Scott Ian stomping around on stage. Fast, heavy, aggressive, this song seems to describe the anger an aborted infant feels toward his mother. Trivia: - The album peaked at on the Billboard 200. - C11 H17 N2 O2 S Na is the chemical formula for Sodium Pentathol, a truth serum drug. Black Lodge is a collaboration between Anthrax and Angelo Badalamenti, soundtrack composer for David Lynch's films and TV series. Black Lodge is the name of the alternate dimension in the Twin Peaks TV series. The booklet folds out into a poster. Recording information

Does anybody know why the song Black Lodge was left off of the vinyl version of this? I just recently got a Korean pressing of this from 93 and it doesn't have that song on it that's very disappointing
one life one life
Probably for space reasons - I noticed that the later vinyl releases are 2xLP. I suspect with the with the fact that SOE and WCFYA just got official re-issues on 2xLP, we'll see this as a proper remaster & reissue on TWO vinyl discs. Tweet to the band, let them know. SOWN was (by far & away) my favourite Anthrax album.

The song Black Lodge is not included on this pressing. It was released as a vinyl single with different mixes, although the LP version was only printed on the picture disc edition.

That is ridiculous I just got a 93 pressing of this from Korea and I did not know that song was not on there that's one of the main reasons why I got it
