Rip It Up. Motor's Too Fast. Any Day Above Ground.
The original and best recording of this song by James Reyne not Australian Crawl. From his first solo album.
James Reyne's self-titled studio album was released in September 1987 and was the singer's first solo venture since the break-up of the band Australian Crawl in 1986. The album saw six singles released in Australia the first being, "Fall of Rome", "Hammerhead", "Rip it Up", "Heaven on a Stick", "Motor's Too Fast" and "Always The Way". The album is due to be re-released on vinyl in January 2017 to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Why is this album the best album ever released? As a musician myself, it has taught me that music isn't just lyrics that's pieced together with a guitar or keyboard, it's something that can be shaped and shifted into so many different ways. The Wall is not just an album, it's a story, or perhaps an autobiography that was shifted to make the plot more desirable. This album is simply the best. It is just parfectly balanced, unique, bombastic, deeply personal and technically brilliant. Fron the outset, this album speaks differently - Death on Two Legs is devastatingly poignant, sharp in tone and voice and underpinned by May's needle-pointed guitar riffs.
Without question, Design for Living is James Reyne's happiest album. After a four-year hiatus from recording, Reyne returned with the dynamite one-two-three punch of "Wonderful Today," "Oh Oh Kimberley," and the title track, and he had never sounded lighter or more enthusiastic. This is not to say Reyne had softened his touch. His lyrics are still enigmatic, his trademark angst-ridden delivery intact
