Someday My Prince Will Come is the seventh studio album by Miles Davis for Columbia Records, catalogue CL 1656 and CS 8456 in stereo, released in 1961. Recorded at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in Manhattan, it marked the only Miles Davis Quintet studio recording session to feature saxophonist Hank Mobley.

1987: Miles guested on stage for the New Year’s Eve benefit concert at Paisley Park. He played a five-minute solo on Beautiful Night. 1988: Miles overdubed a trumpet solo on a Prince/Chaka Khan collaboration Sticky Wicked released on Chaka’s CK album (they were never in the studio together though). 1991: Miles died and Prince announced that his next album would feature a 20-minute section devoted to Miles. Nothing more has ever been heard about this project, however the silent track on Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic is said to be in memory of Miles.

Prince is the second full-length studio album by Prince. It was released worldwide in October 1979, eighteen months after his first album, For You. Recording process. Prince engaged in his first tour in the USA to support the album on the Prince Tour in November and December 1979, and February 1980, usually playing every song from the album. The album reached number 22 on the US Billboard Top LP's & Tapes, and number 3 on the Billboard Soul LPs Chart. It was certified platinum by the RIAA, indicating 1,000,000 copies shipped in the USA.
