The Thin Red Line is the debut album by Canadian band Glass Tiger. The album is most famous for the single "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)". Cretones' 'Thin Red Line' certainly tanked in its time. But hindsight, through the courtesy of a 35-year rearview mirror, offers a different perspective. Her so-called new wave album showcased them next to three Costello numbers, where they more than held their own. But Mad Love and Thin Red Line appeared almost simultaneously, so you can guess which one got all the attention. For the Cretones, the identity crisis began right here, at Point A. Ironically, the Ronstadt set hasn’t aged nearly as well as the Cretones album – which was never issued on CD. The band made one more album (Snap! Snap!) before dissolving into the wind

The Cretones were a United States, Los Angeles-based power pop group in the early 1980s. Led by singer/guitarist and former Eddie Boy Band member, Mark Goldenberg (who also wrote the bulk of The Cretones' material), the group had a strong sense of melody and a lyrical wit that placed them a cut above most of their new wave peers. Other members were Peter Bernstein (bass, vocals), Steve Beers (percussion), and Steve Leonard (keyboards, vocals). Both their albums were released on Richard Perry's Planet Records label.
