Description

The New Pornographers : Twin cinema,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

Twin Cinema is the third studio album by Canadian indie rock group The New Pornographers. It was released on August 23, 2005. The album was shortlisted for the 2006 Polaris Music Prize. As of 2010 it has sold 138,000 copies in US and 20,000 copies in Canada. Initial critical response to Twin Cinema was very positive.

I could see listening to "Twin Cinema" and thinking "that's all?" The album is deceptively simple and doesn't push the envelope, nor does it ever attempt to. But the ultra-spirited New Pornographers reach something approaching power pop perfection in quite a few songs here. The highlight is the combination of fantastic performances from all three vocalists. The juxtaposition of AC Newman's passionately clean-cut vocals, Neko Case's mysterious allure, and Dan Bejar's splendid.

On their third album, Vancouver’s supergroup led by singer/songwriter . Newman, and featuring Neko Case, continue to create the kind of power pop that effortlessly compresses what’s old into something new again. Soaring songs invite comparisons to great bands of yore: the title tune, The Bleeding Heart Show, and Use It could be the work of Cheap Trick, The Kinks, and Big Star, respectively

The New Pornographers. In home theaters Still projecting Undestructing A voice from the back of your Double feature Soft and harder Wait In silence While planning your attack. Shining through the hollow today Thinking maybe heavens away They've shown this on both screens They've shown this on both screens. In torn seats are Film leaders Lead the charging Of armies into war, yeah Lead the charge of Twin teachers False and feature Picturing euphoria

The New Pornographers have been around since 2000 when they released their debut album, Mass Romantic. Five years later the Canadian supergroup released Twin Cinema, the bands third album. Now this is pop music but not in a bad way. When some of you hear pop music you imediately think of bands such as Good Charlotte and Simple Plan. The New Pornographers sound nothing like those bands but they still play pop or indie-pop music. However I really enjoy the New Pornographers and have been a fan since I heard their debut back in 2003. On Twin Cinema the music is bright, upbeat, quirky, and most of all poppy. Catchy hooks, quirky melodies, and upbeat guitar riffs. All of these songs are well written and there are enough hooks and catchy melodies to keep you coming back for more. When you listen to Twin Cinema two things can happen.

Sound - 10 Twin Cinema is another great album by The New Pornographers, there is no doubt about that. Twin Cinema is slightly better than Electric Version and almost up there with Mass Romantic (incredible albums, I coulnd't say which one I like better). All of them are "growers. Where should I start? They have this contagious and cheerful sound, there is not a single song that doesn't reflect that. Their songs will make you want to jump around until you go into raptures
