Sundial was, apparently a great little-known underground UK neo-psychedelic trio of the 90's. Libertine' is okay,but I think I liked their 'Live Drug' CD (on the UK Acme label) better. Tunes here that sort of had me sit up and take notice were "Watch You Smile", the catchy "Everything You See", "Dual" and "Star Baby". Might appeal to fans of My Bloody Valentine, Lush, Flaming Lips and Bevis Frond. 2 people found this helpful.

Basically a neo-psychedelic band with ambient and Brit-pop leanings, on Libertine, Sundial sounds as if they were probably a blast live. Unfortunately, on record, uninterrupted guitar droning (even if quite energetic) can only hold even the most loyal fan's interest for about two tracks. Unlike labelmates Spiritualized (not to mention the pre-Spiritualized group Spacemen 3), Sundial pretty much start and end in the same place sonically and emotionally.
