East of Eden was a British progressive rock band, who had a Top 10 hit in the UK with the single, "Jig-a-Jig", in 1971. The track was stylistically unlike any of their other work. Although some might consider this group as being a symphonic progressive band, others state that their style is mostly jazz oriented.

East of Eden (album). East of Eden is the second album by Victoria Bergsman's solo-project Taken by Trees. Victoria travelled to Pakistan to record the follow-up to her last record Open Field. It includes a track called "My Boys", a cover of the Animal Collective song "My Girls" with some minor lyric changes. The song "Anna" also includes Animal Collective member Noah "Panda Bear" Lennox on backing vocals. The song "To Lose Someone" features the voice of local Sufi musician Sain Muhammad Al. .

East Of Eden biography Formed in Bristol, UK, in 1967 - Disbanded in 1978 - Reunited in 1996. I think that EAST OF EDEN is a very good and worthmentioned prog rock band. They where formed in 1967 and signed with DECCA RECORDS around the year 1969. Their line-up included Dave Arbus (electric violin, flute, saxophone), Ron Caines (alto sax), Geoff Nicholson (guitar, vocals), Steve York (bass guitar) and Dave Dufont (percussion). Their most recent album to my knowledge is "Kalipse" (1999) but it is just to be mentioned.
