The main problem is they're pretty fucking bad at both of those styles and this demo is almost a complete loss as a result. It's an admirable effort but I can't imagine who would actually want to listen to this stuff. Necrowitch is essentially attempting to fuse Vrolok type droning occult USBM with a riffier, more thrash-influenced variety, and while that idea is unique, the two varieties are nearly complete opposites. They kind of have a novel idea in trying to use these primitive first wave black metal riffs in a hypnotic and droning manner, but the melodic sense of these riffs is so Bathory or early Mayhem like that it ends up sounding like someone in a rubber mask trying to scare you.
