Album Sun Structures. Sun Structures Lyrics. Move away from the shade of the glass All in till summer last All the rocks in the golden light Mythical trust of a long lost fortune. Carry on to the distant sun Relics flare in the eyes of the one Even brace while in the gun Legacy waits in a long lost fortune. Take the path of you, inside the odyssey Ritualistic signs upon the desert sea Lead the river to the water Take the fire from the trees.

Album · 2014 · 12 Songs. Kettering, England’s Temples bring the psychedelic ‘60s to life. Just as the members of XTC once worked as The Dukes of Stratosphear to re-create a psychedelic glow of backward guitars, groovy organs, sitar-like 12-string guitars, thick rumbling basses, and oddly modulating harmonies all wrapped up in fuzztones, Temples now explore those sounds like Jack Nitzsche on a DIY budget. That's according to group leader and guitarist James Bagshaw, whose home served as the recording studio for Sun Structures.

His band Temples recorded their debut album in his mum’s spare room in Kettering, and although it’s a hugely impressive record of warm, retro psychedelic pop, there’s something a little too neat about ‘Sun Structures’. Other psych revivalists, such as Australian groups Tame Impala and Pond or Temples’ labelmates Toy, balance their knack for immersive production with the thrill of the wig-out live show. Temples go for a more tasteful approach. To some extent this approach pays off: there’s a definite time-warp charm to ‘Sun Structures’s array of booming tom-toms, psychedelic organs and chiming guitars. Early single ‘Shelter Song’ kicks off the album with an impeccable Beatlesque melody, whereas ‘Keep in the Dark’ and ‘A Question Isn’t Answered’ are punchy glam stomp-a-longs with nifty vocal harmonies.

Temples are four young lads from Kettering who for all purposes sound like they just popped in from 1967 after a short trip on a paisley-bedecked TARDIS
