The one off album released under the Panhandle moniker fits into this category. Somewhat surprisingly, its producer was Rodger Bain, then riding high as the architect of Black Sabbath's influential sound (as well as overseeing discs by Budgie, Indian Summer, Wild Turkey, Freedom and others). Spedding, Flowers, Morgan and Strike had recently contributed to Elton John's Tumbleweed Connection album, perhaps explaining the inclusion of his Amoreena here.

Panhandle is the Florida group. Happy Tiger records released a their single All The Time Now, Hey Girl (Happy Tiger HT-523) in 1969. But the tracks from Amarillo, Texas' garage band which called The Checkmates (Ray Ruff and the Checkmates) The Checkmates members are Ray Ruff, Jerry Hodges, Price Prichett. Both sides originally recorded as The Checkmates (Ruff 45-1003 in 1965) the A side had some overdubs added to it and came out on the Happy Tiger label as by Panhandle.
