The Louvin Brothers with their powerful classic gospel recording - Satan Is Real.
Satan Is Real is a gospel album by American country music duo The Louvin Brothers, released in 1959. Producer Ken Nelson set up recording sessions in August 1958 to record enough tracks for two albums. The first was to become Country Love Ballads, the second the gospel music for Satan is Real. Over 20 songs were recorded in a seven-day span. The 3-minute title-track, with only two sung choruses, is largely taken up by a personal narrative monologue describing the dangers of Satan.

The Louvin Brothers were an American country music duo composed of brothers Ira Lonnie Loudermilk (1924–1965) and Charlie Elzer Loudermilk (1927–2011), better known as Ira and Charlie Louvin. They helped popularize close harmony, a genre of country music. The brothers are cousins to John D. Loudermilk, a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member. The brothers adopted the name Louvin Brothers in the 1940s as they began their career in gospel music. Their first foray into secular music was the minor hit "The Get Acquainted Waltz", recorded with Chet Atkins.
I used to think that The Exploited was the consummate manifestation of 'Stupid' until I saw and heard this record! This makes wattie and the boys seem like Philosophers. If that isn't the most Insane album cover ever released on a major label I dunno what is!? Also, I notice that the Louvin Brothers seem to actually be in Hell!? This kinda stuff frightens the shit out of m. atan may be 'real'(in fact there's no credible evidence pointing in that direction), but Rednecks are certainly very Real

Satan Is Real is the Louvin Brothers' best known album, largely because of its bold title and its eccentric cover artwork, in which Charlie and Ira Louvin, surrounded by flames symbolizing Hades, pose in front of a huge, cross-eyed model of the Devil. While more than a few hipsters have found an ironic laugh in the album's over-the-top imagery, one listen to the music confirms that the Louvin Brothers weren't joking in any way, shape or form.

The Louvin Brothers were a popular country duo known for their harmonies and a string of hit singles in the '50s and '60s until this now-legendary release. Satan Is Real was new territory for the country music fans the brothers earned in earlier years - they were writing overtly Christian songs filled with doom and gloom and Satan. Satan Is Real is perhaps more infamous for its bizarre album cover than the songs themselves. The cover showed the two Louvin brothers standing in front of a giant Satan cutout and surrounded by fire. It's one of the most infamous album covers of all.
