Album Tragic Songs of Life. Let Her Go, God Bless Her Lyrics. Let her go, let her go, God bless her She's mine everywhere she may be She may ramble this wide world all over But she'll never find a friend like me. I went to church last Sunday I saw my old true love there And I knew her mind was a'changin' From the way that she done up her hair. I'm going to the races To see my pony run And if I win any green back We're sure gonna have some fun. . Written By Charlie Louvin & Ira Louvin. Tragic Songs of Life The Louvin Brothers. 2. The Louvin Brothers were an American country music duo composed of brothers Ira Lonnie Loudermilk (1924–1965) and Charlie Elzer Loudermilk (1927–2011), better known as Ira and Charlie Louvin. They helped popularize close harmony, a genre of country music. The brothers are cousins to John D. Loudermilk, a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member. The brothers adopted the name Louvin Brothers in the 1940s as they began their career in gospel music. Their first foray into secular music was the minor hit "The Get Acquainted Waltz", recorded with Chet Atkins.
Oh, darling, I've heard you are going away The message is haunting me yet Are you intending to come back again Oh, sweetheart, don't ever forget. chorus Kiss me again if you're going away Just like you did when we met Let your sweet lips make the promise again But darling I know you'll forget. You'll soon forget all the vows that you've made When you are out of my sight You'll find another and then you'll forget The heart you are casting aside. Kiss me again if you're going away But I am sure I'll regret Just like the others you held in your arms I'll be the next one you forget. You ask me to wait til you make up your mind You say you're not ready to wed So down through the ages, I'll pray for the time But sweetheart, I know you'll forget.

New American Standard Bible "I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. King James Bible I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. If they are all to vanish from the eyes of men as Christ will do, the end of the manifestation will be sacrificed. The Lord prays, not that they should be taken out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them (τηρήσῃς, not φυλάξῃς) from the evil.
