This album ist not the "typical" live album, because the mix is actually high quality and clean. It's a dive into deep when your're listening to. Features Song Lyrics for Puscifer's What I. uscifer album.
Puscifer is many things. Much more than a concert film, this is multi-layered entertainment, character, extent, extrinsic, and existential exploration. I guess for me, Puscifer just seemed too gimmicky, for lack of better terms. Maybe it was the cartoonish covers with childish album titles and silly song titles on what seemed like a multitude of random EP releases. Maybe it was the goofy outfits I would see Maynard dress on stage while in concert with the band? I guess maybe I feared that Puscifer would wind up somehow diminishing the intrinsic worth I found in the material put out by APC and especially my beloved Tool.
Puscifer is a side project of Maynard James Keenan, known for his work with the bands Tool and A Perfect Circle. As Keenan is the only permanent member he considers the project to be his "creative subconscious", Puscifer could be considered a pseudonym for his solo work. Puscifer's original name was Umlaut, "a premiere improvisational hardcore band". The name "Puscifer" was first publicized as a fictional band in the first episode of Mr. Show, including Keenan and Adam Jones as members
