I think this album is better than "Land of the Blacks" on Strata East which goes for a lot more money Sais is unusual dedication to the Ancient Egyptians on the Nile Valley has some Mythical and Ethnic leanings, the poetry gives it a helping hand. I keep going back to Cabral as it has beautiful vocals and nice percussion sounds using chains and cymbals to symbolize slavery etc. The album has other great sounds but you must be prepared for an Ethnic approach to jazz this album will not disappoint.
