In 1964, Doris Day was preparing a childrens album entitled "With A Smile And A Song", and the decision was made to include a new version of "Que Sera, Sera" which was arranged and conducted by Allyn Fergueson and included a vocal assist by the Jimmy Joyce Childrens Chorus.

These two LPs are naturals for the two-fer treatment, since both are special features: the first for Doris Day backed by a children's chorus on fun singalong songs, the second a rare gospel session. Day 's voice, usually clear as crystal and warm as a summer sunrise, doesn't disappoint anywhere here, and although the material could be termed substandard, it is perfect for her - especially on the children's record. A&R on the date makes for some well-chosen songs, including "High Hopes" and "The Inch-Worm

You're My Thrill was Doris Day's first LP album, issued on August 1, 1949 by Columbia Records as catalog number CL-6071, a 10" LP. At the same time, Columbia issued it as an album set of 78 rpm records as C-189. One of the tracks, "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered", was also issued as a single (Columbia catalog number 38698, 7" LP 1-480), reaching on the Billboard chart in 1950.
