Experience rock history! DEEP PURPLE – IN ROCK – June 3, 1970. First off; a classic name for a Rock album and a classic cover executed perfectly! I was over at a dealer friend of mine’s Venice Beach pad back in early Summer 1970. I was trusted with all my friends stereo systems as I was a known audiophile and treated others’ systems and LPs with reverence like my own. Our mutual buddy Mike D. came in as Mike M. left and after our nod and grin greeting he gravitated to the window to get a better view. The album I was handed was Deep Purple In Rock, this would be my virgin listen.
