Album Premiere: Vlimmer – ‘IIIIIIII/IIIIIIIII’. New Noise Magazine is riding out the gloom waves of inspiration with the premiere of Vlimmer’s newest double EP IIIIIIII/IIIIIIIII. What we love about Vlimmer is their narrative and well constructed ties to their creativity. With Vlimmer I’m on an 18 EP journey which tells the narrative of a young man who’s trapped in between two states, reality and a dream-like world. While he’s trying to find out the true nature of his self and why he’s uncapable of becoming a part of society these two states more and more blur into one another making it increasingly impossible to recognize what’s real and what’s imagination.

Any fan of any scene defined by post-punk influences should find much of value in what Vlimmer is up to. An ambitious, forward thinking and truly captivating plunge into what at times strikes me as an almost separate musical universe.
